Type the email address your organizers have for you on the sign-in page and tap Continue with email. We email you a 6-digit code and a sign-in link — there's no password.

1. Enter your email address and tap Continue with email.
2. Open the email with your sign-in code.
3. Type the 6-digit code and tap Verify & sign in — or tap the link in the email.

If you've added the app to your home screen, use the code. A tapped link opens your browser instead of the app you're holding.

Give it a couple of minutes, then look in your spam or junk folder.

1. Check spam, junk and any Promotions tab.
2. Check you typed the address your organizers have for you. If an address isn't on a roster, the sign-in page says so instead of sending a code.
3. Tap Resend code and use the code from the newest email.

Still nothing? Ask your organizers to check the email address on your roster entry.

The app lets in the people on a league's roster, matched by email address — the address you sign in with has to be the one your organizers have for you.

Check the address for a typo, or try the one your league's emails reach you at. Otherwise, ask your organizers to update your roster email; after that, sign in again and you're in.

Your league isn't open to players on HouseLeaguePro right now. Your organizer will let you know when it opens.

Yes, when you see Continue with Google on the sign-in page and your Google account uses the same email address your organizers have for you.

If Google refuses the very first time, sign in once with the email code. After that, Continue with Google works too.

You still get every league email — schedules, reminders and results go to the address on your roster whether or not you ever sign in.

What you miss is doing things yourself in the app, like entering your own score. Your organizers can enter things for you.

No. HouseLeaguePro isn't in the App Store or Google Play — anything you find there under a similar name isn't your league's app.

It's a web app: you open it in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen, and from then on it opens like an app.

Add it once and it opens like any other app on your phone.

1. iPhone: open the app in Safari, tap ••• (or the Share button), choose Share, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. Leave Open as Web App on, then tap Add.
2. Android: open it in Chrome, open the ⋮ menu, scroll down and tap Install app (it may read Add to Home screen or Install and create shortcut). Choose Install — not Create shortcut.
3. Open it from the new icon on your home screen.

On an iPhone the app on your home screen keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari. So add it to your home screen first, open it from there, then sign in with the 6-digit code.

If you sign in in Safari first and add the app afterwards, you'll need to sign in once more inside the app.

Open Settings — tap your name in More on a phone, or at the bottom of the sidebar on a computer — and tap Turn on on the Match notifications card. Allow push notifications when your phone asks.

On an iPhone, push notifications only work in the app added to your home screen, so add it first.

Email is the main channel: schedules, reminders, results and messages all come by email.

Push notifications are an extra ping on your phone for many of the same things, and you can switch each kind off in Settings. Switching push notifications off never stops the email.
